As a Field Sales Manager, you will be at the forefront of driving strategic initiatives and overseeing the successful market penetration of our innovative surgical devices throughout Ireland. Premier Surgical proudly collaborates with world-renowned gynaecological and urological surgical device innovators, including Medtronic, Idoman Teoranta, LiNa, Axonics, Viatris, Neomedic, ProCare Health, Devicare and Viveca Biomed.

In this leadership role, you will spearhead the integration of global advancements in surgical techniques, ensuring the sales team’s success and contributing significantly to the overall growth and impact of our Urology & Gynaecology product portfolio. Your strategic vision and sales leadership expertise will play a pivotal role in establishing Premier Surgical as a market leader in the field.

About the Role

The Urology & Gynaecology Field Sales Manager will play a crucial role in leading and managing the uro/gynae sales team to achieve sales and market share objectives. Responsible for overseeing nationwide coverage, this role involves strategic planning, team development, and collaboration with key stakeholders. The Field Sales Manager will be instrumental in ensuring the success of our urology and gynaecology product portfolio in the market.

Products: TruClear, Acuvu, Operascope, Librata, Thermablate EAS, Myoblate, Bulkamid, Cystistat, Anchorsure, Papilocare, Contrelle Activgard, Lit-Control, Canoxidin

We’re looking for an experienced candidate with a background in:

Sales Leadership

  • Proven experience in managing and leading a sales team in the urology/gynaecology medical devices industry or currently a Medical Device Territory Account Manager seeking to take the next step into a Nationwide Sales Leadership role.

  • Field-Based Mentorship: be proactive by joining Territory Managers on-site for clinical procedures, key account meetings, and sales calls to support the team..
  • Success in achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Background in healthcare/medical/surgical sales.

Educational Background

  • Minimum NFQ Level 8, Honors Bachelor Degree.
  • Healthcare, Science, Engineering, Business-related degree or relevant field.

Skills & Qualities

  • Highly motivated and leads from the front: spearheads results through a proactive, solution-first mindset.
  • Possess the versatility to thrive in any environment and pivot when necessary able to navigate any landscape with ease.
  • Proficient in customer relations: driving high level negotiations between key stakeholders
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.

  • Previous sales experience, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Full driving license.

Responsibilities

Sales Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve sales targets.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  • Develop and implement training programs for continuous improvement.

Strategic Planning

  • Collaborate with the Director of Sales to develop and execute a strategic business development plan.
  • Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to drive sales strategies.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
  • Support the sales team in nurturing existing customer relationships and acquiring new business.

Sales Operations

  • Oversee the execution of national sales plans and initiatives.
  • Ensure effective utilisation of resources, including budget management.

Reporting

  • Provide regular reports on sales performance, business prospects, and market trends.
  • Collaborate with the Managing Director / Marketing Director to assess and refine territory business plans.

Team Collaboration

  • Liaise with internal teams to maximize cross-business opportunities.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive team culture.
